AGE IS JUST A NUMBER
“Now at age 72, I’m still going strong as there is no age limit for modeling and acting.”

When a small child I would look through Sears Roebuck catalogues with the dream that one day I would be “one of those ladies” in the catalogue when I grew up.

Due to lack of confidence, instead of following my dream, I studied to become a middle school teacher and elementary school guidance counselor. But the dream of modeling was always with me. At age 47, trembling with fear, I entered Millie Lewis of Columbia and immediately began my training.

At age 50, I entered two national models contest, submitting two different photos made by two different photographers for newspaper ads that Millie Lewis booked for me. To my surprise, I won both contests, one for Leslie Faye fashions and the other for Dove soap.

The following year, I left the school system and followed my dream of modeling and acting. Since then, I have worked out of Atlanta, Miami, and New York City, as well as home. I have successfully modeled in fashion shows, booked principal roles in national and international commercials and print work, including countless magazine and catalogue ads, travel brochures and billboards. I have had featured roles in movies and television, including a speaking part in the movie “Deceiver” as Tim Roth’s mother.

Now at age 72, I’m still going strong as there is no age limit for modeling and acting.

Thank you Sheilah for your part in helping me become the person that I am today.
